Large clean rooms very well located
The hotel is old and it shows, however everything is in decent condition and clean. If you just need a quiet, clean and safe place to explore the city this is a great option. The rooms are gigantic with large king size beds also. Everything was clean and comfortable but alos dated. My room was extremely quiet and in CDMX that is a great plus. Large bathroom with good shower and a bidet (a first in Mexico). WiFi everywhere. 2 Subway stations (Balderas and Salto de Agua) in short walking distance. Zocalo and Belas artes within 15 to 20 minutes walking distance to. Large covered parking area. The only thing I didn't like was an inconvenient power socket with no ground connection, so bring your adapter. Simple improvements would be do not disturb signs and an in room safe.

Great prices, convenient location needs re-brand
First the positives. You'd be hard pushed to find private accomodation at the price we paid for this room. The area is fine; close to the Balderas metro stop and walking distance to the Belles Art, etc. I stayed here when travelling solo three years ago but the hotel is currently under going massive reconfiguration and it almost felt as if there were only a coyple of room available. We saw no one else during our whole stay. It would not surprise me if they closed the place and rebranded it. There are close ties with the Kali Hotel next door. The room was dark (first floor) and cold at night (no way of warming the place). The carpets and furnishings are really sad and relatively uncleanable. The shower had a warning 'agua caliente' but it was anything but.
