The hotel looked nice. A lot of locals did not know the location of the hotel. We got lost walking one day and no one could give us direction.

CDMX
My room was clean and spacious. Staff is well informed and helpful. My only complaint is the hallway lights and the restroom. The hallway lights are censored, so they turn on when you step out of the elevator. The hallways have no windows so it looks eerie while walking down the hallway. My restroom was clean, but had a damp smell. I don't believe the ventilation was working properly. Overall it's a good hotel in a great centralized area. The neighborhood is relatively safe and there are plenty of restaurants, sights and local bars around.

Solid performer w/ Great breakfast
Nice, quiet location a bit out of the way of the hustle and bustle of Mexico City life. Easy 10-15 minute walk to the Metro and within walking distance of many restaurants and bars. Breakfast was a full spread every morning with fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, chilaquiles, meats (Euorpean-style slices and Mexican-style stewed) and pancakes or waffles. Delicious and worth it. Air con is an in-room portable unit which had trouble keeping up with the heat during the day as we were on the top floor facing due East with huge windows to absorb the heat. But that also meant great views.

You get what you pay for
El Ejecutivo is centrally located and very near other hotels at 3 times the price, but you get what you pay for. Sure, the rooms look modern, but the construction is cheap, the walls are thin, the towels are rough, there are no washcloths, our bathroom was stuffy, hot, and often smelled faintly of sewer, and the free standing air conditioning unit didn't work particularly well and was so loud it made having a conversation across the room slightly difficult. The staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be.
