Hotel Riazor is Hands Down My “Go To”Hotel
This is the seventh trip that I have stayed at Hotel Riazor. Where in the past I have tried other hotels more costly and less costly, closer to the airport or further before falling in love with this hotel, I pledge to always return to this hotel. The staff could not be more genuinely “amable”. The hotel is located within about ten to fifteen minutes from the airport by their free shuttle. An agent is at both terminals at Puerto 4, to greet you. Vans run on the hour. When you arrive at the hotel you feel the genuine friendliness of all the staff so welcoming-especially as I have several times travelled solo. (My husband loves this hotel as well!) The restaurant has a wonderful and extensive menu with fresh vegetables, great salads and a host of other entrees- and everything is delisciously presented and prepared. The ambience is modern, light and homey. There is a 24 hour cafe with home baked goods and good barrista coffee and very pleasant light comfortable seating areas. The rooms themselves are ample, with Scandanavian feel. I understand that by subway the hotel is pretty close to the Zocalo. I arrived really late tonight and was greeted by Arturo at the front desk. He recognized me from the past week when I stayed to begin my trip and gave me a warm welcome back. I got to my room, and Arturo called me upt to ask if I needed the van the next morning. It was the end of his night, but he stayed to make sure I was taken care of.
