Learn more about Key West
Hemingway's ghost still haunts the bars where he once drank, while roosters strut through streets with more confidence than tourists. At Mallory Square, sunset becomes theater as fire-jugglers and troubadours compete for attention. The Southernmost Point buoy draws selfie-seekers, though locals know the actual southernmost spot lies elsewhere. Tour the author's six-toed-cat-filled home before cooling off with key lime pie that sparks debates about meringue versus whipped cream. Snorkel at Fort Zachary Taylor, then wander Duval Street where T-shirt shops give way to sophisticated galleries. The Truman Little White House reveals presidential history, while the nightly parade of characters proves that in Key West, being normal is the only real sin.

Pier House Resort & Spa
"This place was great! The rooms are dated and don't have smart TVs, so you can't catch up on anything streaming at night, but the private beach and pool area make up for it! Everyone was very nice. I'll say we brought our 7 year old and he was one of maybe 5 children there so it's not very child friendly but he had a great time."

Southernmost Beach Resort and Guesthouses
"Parking and resort fees expensive for what you get."
Southwinds Motel
"This was day 16 of a US road trip and this was BY FAR my favorite stay. 1 block away from Duval St. Free drink tickets. Great bed and pillows. Microwave, fridge. Everything was GREAT! Only downside was we went to bed at 10 and the nearby bar was still playing loud live music, however the loud AC unit drowned it out lol. Ice machine could use something to make it look cleaner/better, but still produced ice just fine. Breakfast was pretty much entirely bread/muffins/cereal/bagels. Parking was not free, which is also a bummer. But being so close to everything we wanted made up for it."
Hyatt Vacation Club at Windward Pointe, Key West
"The property was very clean and well kept by staff. Outdoor pool area was very clean and the pool was clean and nice. We didn’t have a car but it looked like there was plenty of parking available. The managers concierge staff and cleaning personnel were extremely friendly and helpful."
