NOT WORTH THE PRICE
I was absolutely heartbroken at the condition of the location… the lobby and front of the building looked beautiful when we pulled up but once you journey to your room it is another story. The carpet was FILTHY with trash, stains, a pile of towels and a bag of trash in our hall for two days. The smell of the hotel halls was disgusting. It smelled moldy/rotten. We travel to beachfront locations regularly so no, it wasn’t the normal musky beach smell. The elevators were broken(ok I get that it happens) for the whole time we were there and the stairs were dirty as well. Every glass door/ window we went through that wasn’t at the front lobby was FILTYH. Streaks , smears of who knows what, handprints, just disgusting. Our room was clean so that was the only saving Grace. it was acceptable but NOT $663 a night plus resort fee worthy. It was honestly like staying at a motel six with a big room. The shower grout was moldy, the drain was rusty, the doors were all flaking and warped from water damage. The hot water took atleast 10 minutes to get to our room and I felt bad wasting water the whole time waiting to take a shower. The cleaning staff would be congregated infront of their cleaning closet talking to one another or on their phones texting every day when we saw Them. Other times we would see staff walk right by trash all over the floor and not do a single thing about it . The trash would be there for days. The beach and pool area was the only good part.

Not enough staff. Still showing wear and tear around facility due to hurricane. No cleaning of room till close to 6pm when you need to shower before then to go for dinner. Beach is not cleaned properly of seaweed and lots of boulders so you can’t really go in! Its for show. If you want a beach vacation, forget keys. Go to Caribbean. Its a shame. Leave it to Hilton to destroy a Waldorf.

The hotel could definitely use some updating. Beds were comfortable but the bathroom had mildew in the shower and the toilet no matter how much or how little it was super slow to flush. Staff was really friendly though and location was great. It was about a 10 minute walk to the most southern point buoy. The beach was full of seaweed not sure if that’s normal for the area? Although there were beach beds they weren’t in the best conditions. The outdoor shower didn’t work, and the entire facility is made of tile so definitely a hazard coming off wet from the beach or pool. Overall the attentiveness of staff made the stay much more bearable.
