The peaceful courtyard and exquisite neoclassical architecture of The Four Seasons Sultanahmet seem tailor-made for a luxury hotel. It even has a wonderful position, close to some of Istanbul’s most famous attractions. But this heritage hotel wasn’t always welcoming willing guests. In the early 20th century, its domes, marble columns, and arches held political dissidents.
These days, you’ll find comfortable bedrooms, a luxury spa, and a fully equipped fitness center, as well as numerous dining options, from Anatolian dishes served up in the fragrant courtyard to delicate patisserie. Take in views of the Hagia Sofia from the gorgeous rooftop terrace.
