Where to Stay in Breckenridge - Heart of Town or Mountain Top

Hotel search

Looking for a cozy cabin that opens onto a groomed run? Or perhaps a modern condo close to a good coffee shop? In Breck, you'll find everything from luxury homes large enough for your extended family to tidy units for one.

Peaks 7 and 8

Immediate proximity to the slopes and grand views make this a popular area all winter. Skiers and snowboarders can take the Imperial Express SuperChair to 12,840 feet and find perfect powder above the tree line. Summer visitors enjoy being near the Breckenridge Gondola, which is free and runs all year.

You'll find plenty of luxury resorts, lodges, and condos here, often with restaurants, nightlife, and family fun built in. At most of the mountain resorts, you can top off your adventures with a soak in an indoor or outdoor hot tub.

Four O'Clock

When you stay between Peak 9 and the Historic District, you can decide if the day calls for a walk to the ski lift or a stroll through town - both are nearby. Here you'll enjoy the best of both worlds: the serenity of the mountainside and proximity to restaurants and shops.

You can choose from lodges, condos, hostels, and rental homes. Expect amenities like ski butlers and hot tubs in the high-end lodges, and a lively social scene around the fire pits in the more casual hostels.

Historic District

You'll be surrounded by Breck's easygoing spirit when you stay in the Historic District. Finding a green chili-topped burger, a pint of craft brew, or a new ski jacket is easy when nearly everything is within walking distance. If you're here to ski, don't worry - the slopes are only minutes away.

The heart of town offers vacation homes, bed-and-breakfasts, and hotels, often showcasing the Victorian-era style that defines this alpine resort. Some accommodation is within walking distance of the slopes. If yours isn't, you can simply hop on the free shuttle.

Warrior's Mark

This quiet, wooded neighborhood is a great option for anyone interested in ski-in, ski-out vacations or exploring hiking trails just outside their door. Spotting wildlife, soaking up a peak-fringed sunset, and perfecting your snowman-building technique are among the possibilities here.

You'll primarily find vacation homes, town houses, and condos in Warrior's Mark. Palatial chalets that can accommodate a few dozen guests and cozy condos perfect for a couple's getaway share the commanding view of Tenmile Range.

North Breckenridge

Farther from the slopes but closer to the greens, North Breckenridge is ideal for golfers. But even if you're not enticed by the 27-hole, Jack Nicklaus-designed course, you might appreciate the proximity to the National Forest, Blue River, and Dillon Reservoir. Downtown restaurants and shops are a 10-minute drive.

Accommodation ranges from large vacation homes to compact inns. Few luxuries are spared in some of the grander mountain chalets, but you can also find a quiet riverfront cabin or a cozy room in a family-run inn.
