Our stay at SOTA was nothing short of amazing. The drive to the retreat was not too out of reach, and made sense, as we were in the jungle of Puerto Morelos.
We arrived a little later than expected, but greeted upon arrival at the gate by the staff. We were helped with our luggage to our stay, and we were stunned at every step! In our unit, there were fresh fruits waiting for us on the table.
Our room was surrounded by glass looking out into the jungle, and every room had access to opening the glass doors right outside. At night, it felt like we slepted under the stars, and in complete nature. The place was perfect for us both, as we come from busy cities, and it slowed us right down.
We also got a tour of the property, and every place was more eye opening than the last. The cenote was so beautiful, and full of life, and calming energy.
My husband and I both did the Temescal and the Sacred bath, and ceremonies were the most spiritual, grounding and emotional releasing experiences. The Ceranduras explained every step, and maintained the authentic Mayan customs.
We ate breakfast at the restaurant and the private chef was so friendly and personable. He showed us what he had prepared in the morning, and our dishes were delicious, healthy and fulfilling. We recommended the perfect meal in preparation for our treatments.
We are so grateful and thankful of our experience at SOTA, and will definitely be back soon.
