All the snorkelling tours from cancun come to puerto Morelos. This just goes to show how wonderful the water and beaches are. The water is calmer here because of the reef break. Better for families and small children than cancun is. Safer waters.

The quiet fishing village is morphing into a vibrant tourist destination with lots of restaurants, hotels, and rentals of all sorts. Near the end of the high season there was no place to park, sidewalks were crowded, and the beach was busy.

We did a tequila tasting with food pairings at Sirenas and it was great! There are a lot of good taco places on the Colonia side if you want to create your own taco tour:-)

The town of Puerto Morelos is worth a visit while it lasts. Lots of development happening on the port side. It will be just another Cancun or Playa in a few years.

The area is a cute little fishing village that is quaint but has grown over the years with more and more tourism and has become more crowded. Mexico and general has also become more expensive shockingly. Prices were on par or more expensive than US.

Puerto Morelos is low key so if that's what you're after then it's perfect. The people are very nice, many great restaurants and also very safe. The Ki Restaurant next to the hotel has the best tacos ever. It's not Cancún but on a good way.

"I recently stayed at Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya (Adults Only) and overall had a wonderful time. The resort is beautiful, modern, and immaculately maintained. The decor gives off a fun, tropical vibe without being tacky, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and well-stocked with everything we needed. I really liked the unique “Island Reserve” concept with the customizable minibar system—you earn points to pick what you want delivered to your room.
The staff was friendly and welcoming, especially at the restaurants and bars. Shoutout to [insert name if you remember anyone], who made our experience extra special! The food was surprisingly good, especially at Rita’s Taco House and Frank & Lola’s. The cocktails were strong, the live music was fun, and the poolside service was solid.
The pool areas were lively with music, games, and foam parties—great if you're into a more social atmosphere. That said, this isn’t the place for wild nightlife. After dinner, things quiet down, which we didn’t mind.
it’s a great resort if you're looking for a laid-back adults-only vacation with good food, friendly service, and a social pool scene. I'd definitely recommend it for couples or small groups who want a fun, stress-free getaway.

Only cons is check in with Diana so condescending and no upgrades as stated by Expedia and everything closes at 10pm
