The exterior and interior are beautiful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I believe they went through a restoration. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. The Hotel restaurant is a must. There were a couple of areas that could use improvement. At times there was a little trouble getting in touch with room service and the restaurant. They also have a policy that if you want your room cleaned you have to let them know by 4:00 the day before and you have to specify a time and not be there. We made our request our room to be cleaned after 4:00 and they scheduled it for the next day so I suspect they will accommodate any request if they can. I am guessing they are having staffing issues like we do here in the USA. The hotel overall is excellent and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Very nice hotel. It was a challenge figuring out how to operate the in-room Nespresso machine, but once we figured it out, the coffee was excellent (for in-room coffee, that is). We stayed three nights and never had to wait long for an elevator. I noticed the difference at the next two hotels we stayed at (in other cities) that skimped on elevators. The location was very convenient for seeing Vancouver.

This hotel is an high end hotel. Luxuriously decorated with the appropriate rate that goes with it. But instead of being comfortable I felt trapped in a hotel room with an automated drinks refrigerator that I didn’t need and a parking fee of $50 overnight. I guess parking fee covers extended parking till 4 pm the next day so it isn’t so expensive with in and out privileges, but the refrigerator situation wasn’t convenient at all. The sign reads if drinks are removed to place your own drinks, you’d be charged automatically and that if you need a refrigerator you’d have to pay an extra fee. I had expected just an ordinary convenience of having mini fridge in the room like many other hotel chains, but no, this hotel, costs 30-40% higher but still they want to make more money by charging for the mini fridge. I won’t choose to stay here again. Crass hospitality focused in on making as much money as possible out of you. But I do have a shout out to a Bellman by the entry. He was so kind and generous as I arrived past the time to go to a store to buy water, he offered me couple bottles out from his own stash with a smile. That was extra nice!!

Room was large and very comfortable. The hotel is well-situated in downtown Vancouver. We were disappointed by the breakfast in the hotel restaurant - expensive but a limited choice

We arrived around 2 am and we’re treat wonderfully. They upgraded our room from a double queen to a 2 bedroom King suite. Can’t say enough about how well we were treated.

Very friendly staff. We arrived very late due to flight delays and they gave us a free upgrade. Would stay again.

Disappointed no fridge snd no microwave. Parking was an additional $50 per night! Way to expensive when you are already paying almost $400 a night!

We really enjoyed the location of the Sutton Hotel. We were really disappointed when we found out we’d have to go over to the Sheraton to use the hot tub in the pool. I felt that this should’ve been disclosed when we booked the hotel. It was chilly and rainy during our 2 day stay in Vancouver. Most people aren’t going to want to walk to the Sheraton to use their facilities and then walk back through the wet , cold rainy weather. Other than that, the room was quite nice and comfortable. The view was gorgeous, but the check in was a little bit tricky. Hard to understand the staff behind the counter. I do think, that the Sutton hotel should provide free breakfast for their guests if they don’t have a hot tub, and a working pool.

Was a beautiful room and space but they did not honour the expedia price and upsold. Some staff were excellent and kind but senior staff were rude and not friendly to disabled customers needing assistance.

Been several years since i stayed here but still love the property. the staff is professional, the rooms are very comfortable and the hotel is in the perfect location for a stroll down Robson for some shopping, or walking to Yale Town for a bite of dinner
