When I go to NOLA, I almost always stay at The Mercantile. The staff is always professional, courteous, helpful, friendly. Which, to me, represents NOLA (and Louisiana) perfectly. The beds are very comfortable. Hotel property are always impeccably clean. Safe neighborhood. Continental breakfast is goo. The breakfast attendant is friendly, funny, and accommodating. I give Mercantile more stars if I could!!

Staff was very nice, rooms were clean, but the quality was horrible. Toilet was broke, door handle was broke, faucet in bathroom was broke (no hot water) , and the hanger on the door was broke. The windows were so gross and green. The staff did give us access to another room to use the restroom. We won’t be back
