Wyndham New Orleans - French Quarter, New Orleans
Exceptional
Great location, helpful staff and so clean!
We had a great time here! So close to all the sights in New Orleans and clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful, storing our bags for our late flight, letting us check in early at 9 am and giving us tips on where to go. We would stay here again.

Great location, indoor pool.
Great location in French Quarter, close to Canal St. buses and streetcars, Insectarium, and aquarium. Two blocks down from Cafe Beignet. Indoor heated pool made the trip for my 10-year-old!

Can't beat the location
You can't beat the location of this hotel. The room, wi-fi, and service were very good. All new mattresses. We had a nice view of the Mississippi River. The hallways are a little rundown and could use refurbishment.

Wonderful Stay!
This was our/my first visit to New Orleans and friends had suggested staying in the French Quarter. As location and cost (under $200 per night) were driving factors, I found the Wyndham on Royal Street through Hotels.com. The doorman and porter (Ty and Bruce) were truly outstanding ambassadors of the Southern hospitality I had heard so much about. Our room was right across from the elevator, which might bother a light sleeper (which we are not). The onIy thing we did not care for was the fact you could see into our room from the elevator, so we would wait until the elevator doors closed before entering our room. The room was roomy and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We were surprised there was not a refrigerator in the room, but we made do. As roomy as the bathroom was, it was almost impossible to take a shower without flooding the bathroom floor - there was not a lip on the edge of the shower to keep the water in. Having the Ole Saint attached to the hotel made breakfast very convenient. The location of the hotel was fairly central to everything, with a Walgreen on the corner for incidentals and Bourbon Street was about a block away.
