We used this hotel due to change in travel plans. Parking was easy and safe. The room was clean, but the bed has a loose leg which squeaked, but not enough to interfere with a good night's sleep. Food for evening and breakfast was excellent, and my wife loved the waffle-making machine. Overall the standard was very good, and quiet enough, considering it is so near to City airport.

Great location; easy to access via the DLR, and getting to the O2 is really easy. Complimentary breakfast was very nice. Room was as you'd expect from this type of hotel. Our room was a corner room, perhaps meaning that its shape gave us a bit more space than we expected. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable - although the pillows are super, super soft, meaning that your head does not stay elevated (for us, anyway). The bathroom was excellent - clean, spacious and a great shower. Overall, a very comfortable night. The staff at Reception were friendly and professional, and swift with the transaction. Breakfast was a typical buffet, with fresh food available. A pleasant breakfast.

I only stayed at the Hampton for one night. Unfortunately, when I went to take a shower, I discovered that the shower gel dispenser was completely empty. Thankfully, I had brought my own travel-sized shower gel, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to shower. I called the front desk to let them know and asked if housekeeping could refill the dispenser, but I was told to wait until the morning. That was disappointing, especially since it should have been checked before guests arrived. Other than that issue, the hotel was clean, and the location was very convenient with easy access to the train. I hope the hotel pays more attention to basic room amenities in the future, as this would have made my stay much better.

Let's start with the positives. You have pretty big rooms, daily housekeeping that actually cleans stuff up, friendly staff and most importantly - breakfast. The hotel in itself has no major flaws (except maybe the lack of fridges in rooms and no windows you can open - however the a/c does a very good job). But the area has no real food options in case you want to go out. Ordering delivery or going somewhere more central is necessary. Breakfast is pretty good, one of the rare ones where you can have a proper meal nowdays. Just keep in mind that breakfast is complimentary, so the area gets extremely busy. Point is, the hotel is worth it's price, has a good breakfast and is easy to reach (it's a short 5 min walk from the DLR to Tower Gateway). However, if you are a fan of having food and shopping options next to your hotel, this might not be ideal for you.

We stayed in the accessible twin room 210. Can I just say that the bathroom was enormous and so much room to manoeuvre with the wheelchair! What a blessing! Will always book HbyH in future as this is the third time at the brand (different location) and it’s always lovely. Comfortable, helpful staff, great (included) breakfast. Couldn’t fault it.
