Nice piece of heritage in the English countryside. Try to stay in the main hotel rooms as these are much nicer with more up to date baths than the basic rooms at the rear. The bar and restaurant are nice to visit and compliment the experience here rather well.

Ideally placed for anyone requiring treatment, or, rather, for their better halves to stay, at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. Staff were generally very good and polite. Evening meal was lovely. I had the pork belly and the good lady had the pollock. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was nice, good twin beds. No charger near the bed but this is a good thing as it meant we put our phones away! I had a Joghurt at breakfast which had gone a bit sour but this was dealt with very quickly.

The manager, Jo, was brilliant. Although I was staying the night, my 6 friend were just having lunch. Knowing that we were film fans, Jo showed us the Piccadilly room which featured in A Clockwork Orange and allowed us to explore the public spaces which featured in The Devil Rides Out and Dracula. She then upgraded my booking so that I could stay in the Piccadilly room. Excellent customer service. I will certainly return.

We arrived late but it wasn't an issue. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our top floor room was very clean with a really comfortable mattress and pillows, we didn't want to get up in the morning. Breakfast was varied and the full English was superb. A beautiful building which oozes character, set in fabulous grounds with free parking. We will definately be returning when we visit London again.
