An OK hotel in good neighborhood

Our stay at Novotel Santiago Provedencia was OK. The front desk was not that friendly. Not all of the front desk staff spoke English. The quality of towels were not good in the room. The breakfast was very good. The hotel location is good and in a safe neighborhood.

Where to Stay in Santiago

This is one of the best hotel stays I have experienced in recent years. The front desk staff were very informative and polite. The buffet breakfast had everything I needed to start each day with energy. The room was spacious and the shower had good pressure. The neighbourhood is very walkable and close to the metro to go anywhere you wish. Some excellent restaurants nearby. Hotel gym was clean and equipment is fairly new. Good wifi. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and will stay here next time I return to Santiago.

I like the Novotel chain very much, however our experience with Novotel Santiago Providencia was very poor. The room we SPECIFICALLY book for a view on a high floor was facing a WALL OF THE OTHER BUILDING. The WHINEY guy at the front desk said "you only said high floor". No, no we didn't... The bath towels not only were stained with god only knows what and full of holes or shaved half way through. The floors in the room were filthy, full of dust and dirt, next to the headboards especially. We got sick from eating the undercooked eggs and other parts the buffet were just nasty. The chairs were thoroughly stained and unclean. The coffee machine was out of order but the staff offered Nespresso coffee for a fee. The breakfast staff were awful and unpleasant to deal with. They obviously did not want us there. I regret my stay at Novotel Providencia and will NEVER RETURN.

Worst, unfriendly and rude staff I ever encountered and I’ve been in over 50 cities around the world. The guest bathroom was the most dirty, the street bath will be cleaner. Made wait until 3pm to get the room and arrived at 7:30 am. When I received the room the safesty security box did not work, requested to be changed because security is one the main concerns for us. Made me pay a city tax when explained the staff that my wife and I live in Canada over 20 years, I also explained them that before at other hotels they waived it, I guess the inexperience of their staff and not custumer service oriented made them behave like that. Regarless that, the hotel isn't 4* not even 1*, walking in is like walking into a selfservice hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Very disappointed. Neighbourhood feels unsafe day and night.

Ótima localização, há 1 quadra da av Providência. Bom café da manhã, opções frios, pães, frutas, cereais, pratos quentes, máquina de expresso, cappuccino…. Boa cama, toalhas de banho PRECISAM ser trocadas urgente, velhas e ásperas. Não tem carpete, mas Tem tapete embaixo da cama( ao meu ver, desnecessário) Secador de cabelo bom, porém não tinha o bico difusor. Tem frigobar, mas vazio. Não tem água no quarto, porém na recepção tem um filtro para abastecer “for free.” Voltaria, mas gostaria de toalhas novas.

Minha estadia no Novotel Providência foi excelente. O quarto era muito confortável, bem equipado e aconchegante. Os funcionários foram sempre muito corteses e atenciosos, oferecendo um atendimento de qualidade. A limpeza estava impecável, transmitindo bastante cuidado e organização. Além disso, a localização é ótima, facilitando o acesso aos principais pontos da cidade. Recomendo bastante e certamente voltaria a me hospedar.
