Outstanding
High quality hotel at a good price. Lovely room and very impressive service throughout. Felt like a very welcomed and treasured guest. They even fixed a tear on a pair of trousers for me at no extra charge.

Boutique hotel in bustling Santiago
A small hotel in a lovely old building, Sommelier Boutique is a short walk away from the historic center, several good musuems, a beautiful city park, and many restaurants. Each floor of the hotel was named after a type of wine, and each stair landing had a beautiful Art Nouveau portrait with the name of the wine. Considering how few guests there were, we thought the breakfast had a nice variety. The breakfast room doubles as a restaurant, and it's filled with quirky antiques. The restaurant was good and the portions were generous. The hotel has a second "restaurant", a rooftop bar. It's a popular place, attracting lots if (mostly young) people who weren't hotel guests. Unfortunately, the view is blocked by taller buildings, it's difficult to converse over the loud DJ, and service was extremely slow. The other negative is that the area rugs in the room were old and dirty. We rolled them up and stashed them under the bed, and suggested that the hotel replace, or at least clean, them.

Perfect stay
Great stay despite Coronavirus outbreak and panic. We stayed one night and it was lovely. Breakfast was delivered to our room because the restaurant was shut down. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Thank you.

Not happy with check-in and check-out. Arrived at 1pm after a 12 hr flight, with their prebooked shuttle service from airport, so they were well aware when we would arrive at hotel. Was told our 2 rooms would not be ready till 3pm. Had to leave our luggage at reception and return after 3pm. Room did not have usual tea/coffee/milk supply. They had a pod coffee machine which was fine. However, on checkout there were charges of 4000 peso per coffee taken (in AUD this is $8 each). We were not aware they would be charged and on complaining about this to the staff, they then brought a paper with coffee price which was hidden behind coffee machine sitting inside a cupboard, so not visible. The mini bar price list was available, the same should have applied for coffees. Other guests were at reception during this disagreement with hotel staff over charges, and they too had the coffee in their room and again no price list was showing. The staff member (cant remember his name) was rude and very argumentative and would not budge on removing these charges or at least reducing them. And, only minutes before all this we had espressos at their breakfast restaurant and were charged 2000 peso each. So, dont have the coffee in the room as it is too expensive, get it at the restaurant next to reception for half price.

Stay short but sweet
The hotel was small and intimate with attention to every detail. The staff on the desk were so helpful and sincere, especially Juan and Raul whose English was very good, and helped us deal with getting us back home after our cruise was cancelled. The building itself is older and the rooms smaller like you would expect in Europe but they have been updated to include many features only found in 5star hotels. Breakfast was pleasant and quiet ambience. Would definitely book again.
