4/10 Fair

Good location, staff were friendly, and the room was clean. Let down badly by the condition of the property. The stair carpet is filthy looking, the fixtures and fittings in the room are worn and the tiny ensuite had a sliding door that repeatedly fell off its track at the slightest provocation. The condition of the room and hallway put me off eating breakfast there.

Expensive for the cleanliness and decor. Rooms were not ready even though we arrived 2 hours after the start of check in time. A few nice local places to eat.

The check in was smooth, the room was clean, comfortable and had sufficient luggage storage, wardrobe space. The bathroom was very clean, with fresh towels, and the room warm and cosy. The room was comfortable and well equipped but the whole place was a little dirty around the edges and could use a good cleaning. The breakfast was basic but adequate. Loved the UK-themed salt and pepper shakers on each table!

A practical option for travellers with a bus stop 30 seconds from the front door into central Oxford. Very friendly hosts who were always willing to help - for instance, offering us parking vouchers for next-door Lonsdale Road where I parked for two days.

Nice and clean, at a good price

It's very much a wysiwyg place. The room was on the smallish side. Bathroom was small and simple. Breakfast was continental with few options. On the other hand, it was very clean, and the value is unbeatable if you intend to see Oxford on a budget, and you don't mind walking a bit (2 km) through a very nice neighbourhood to the city centre. Would stay again.
