What a treat!
This is a gorgeous old hotel with very rich renovations. The room is incredibly comfortable, the food was spectacular & the hotel is walkable for all the reasons you visit Oxford for. The staff is delightful & friendly too. Make sure you enjoy their High Tea!

Quaint, Well Appointed Old Parsonage Hotel
I enjoyed staying at The Old Parsonage. Lisa is an exceptional manager: warm, attentive, careful. The surroundings have lovely eateries: Brown's and Baker's Spice Cafe which suited my needs. I was not happy with my first room as the view was of the car park and cranes. Though I was not accommodated with a reduction in room charge as my current hotel accommodated my friend with a 25% reduction in charge for an insufficient room, this gave me pause. As in my instance, they could not upgrade to a better room: the hotel was fully booked. I faced the same issue. I was told that if I had booked with the hotel directly I would have been given a reduction. I booked with which showed up at the Old Parsonage as an Expedia charge. That shocked me...but apparently, Expedia bought up Hotels? In any case, a reduction would have been nicer instead of what comps I did receive: breakfast (I don't eat breakfast, but I did in this instance) for two days. However, they did give me use of an espresso machine which I loved. So they attempted to ameliorate my upset, a plus. However, Principal Hotel in Edinburgh did give my friend a reduction on the price of the room for one night, then moved her to an upgrade which she paid for. Old Parsonage simply did not have the rooms to offer. They moved me to another room after two nights. I was grateful for that. All in all, the place is lovely. I would stay there again: request a room specifically via phone. Not sure if I would use

Quaint and pleasant
Very pleasant experience. The location is within walking distance to central but away from the hectic tourist spots. Very quaint boutique hotel. Wish the food is better.
