I've been coming to Firenze for +15 years. But this trip (late Sept) there were far too many tourists. It was difficult to get around! I was introducing a city I love to a man I love, but it was unpleasantly crowded. Florence is beautiful underneath

I was here in May. It was busy but the peak season is in a few weeks time. Temperature was in the mid 20s C which I found comfortable. High summer would be more difficult for this northern Celt! I STRONGLY recommend pre-booking tickets for the sights

What a beautiful Italian town! We spent 4 days and 5 nights, and although we chose several places to begin each day's adventures, we always seemed to find our way back to the Duomo de Firenze area, which is just breathtaking. We'll be back! Ciao!

Florence was super busy and buzzing with atmosphere. Soak up the nostalgic historical attractions and enjoy delicious food and drink in an ambiance of culture. Shopping is also a must together with relaxing to the sound of the church bells ringing.

Struggled more in Florence to find cuisine to our liking (not big steak-eaters) but shops, museums--all great. At least get the audio guide if you do Uffizi. Book museums ahead. Passepartout tickets for Uffizi/Pitti/Boboli Gardens VERY worth it.

Florence is incredibly beautiful and vibrant and I would visit again in a heartbeat. So easy to walk around and there is something stunning to see at every turn. So much choice of restaurants and bars that there is always somewhere new to go.

Beautiful city. We had come from Rome and it was a nice change of pace. Definitely a more refined crowd. Restaurants were great and very walkable city. Wander around, we found alot more then what we were expecting for things to see and do

We've been to Florence twice recently. We really enjoyed it, however, it's very crowded. Get your tickets in advance for any museums and be prepared to shuffle along with loads of other tourists. Make dinner reservations when you can.

This was March, the so called quiet season but there were still large numbers of people. The Duomo is great from the outside but not worth going into. There are far more attractive and interesting buildings. Loved the Galileo Museum.
"Our stay here was excellent! The staff were friendly, and provided excellent recommendations for the city. The room we stayed in and the hotel were very clean and newly renovated. We will be recommending this hotel to anyone traveling to Florence! "
"- I had a great stay at this hostel.
- It is just a 15-minute walk from Florence Santa Maria Novella train station—I had a backpack and a carry-on suitcase, and the walk was very manageable.
- Check-in was quick and smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
- The 6-bed room was clean and spacious enough to comfortably fit three bunk beds. Remember to bring your own padlock, 30 mm.
- Shared bathroom was roomy, and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic.
- Central air conditioning worked well, which made a big difference during the summer heat.
- Since I stayed during the summer, there were quite a few school groups and teenagers around, which made it a bit noisy at times—but it was totally understandable given the season and atmosphere.
- Breakfast was available for a fee and offered a variety of fresh and satisfying options each morning.
- Laundry facilities were very convenient, especially for a longer stay—just make sure to read the instructions carefully before using the machines.
- Storage facility was another big plus: it felt very secure, with each piece of luggage tagged with a numbered ticket. Staff are always present to ensure belongings are only picked up by the rightful owner. Just make sure not to lose your ticket."
