Globus Urban in Florence is in an excellent location and, although in a older building, the rooms and bathrooms are modern and not at all fussy. The staff was very friendly, helping with translations and directions. Excellent breakfast - both sweet and savory. The central market is a block away for cheap-ish meals, and there’s a self-service laundromat around the corner. Major sites and the main train station are within walking distance. I highly recommend it.

The hotel is located close to the train station so it is convenient for carrying your luggage over the cobbatone streets. This hotel was clean, quiet and the A/C was amazing after a long day walking Florence. The room was just the right size and we stayed in Rm 303, which had a view of the domed chapels. They also have American drip coffee in the mornings if espresso just isn't your thing. This is a clear YES! for your stay in Florence.
