It was very small for the price. It had no microwave, fridge or coffee maker. Although there was plenty of room to put a fridge with a plug in there, microwave could go on top of the fridge etc. The chair could be move under the window. They really skimped on services.

The rooms were great - however the first floor room was very warm and never cooled off. There was outside noise from the beer garden patio below but did not keep us up. Location was great if you wanted to walk around Tofino. Would stay there again but with less luggage (as lots of stairs). Also parking is a pain. One small gravel lot for the hotel down the street. Street parking is difficult to get. Pack light and/or bring someone who can haul your luggage.

If you want to be able to sleep on a weekend, don’t stay here. Loud party in the courtyard which we were not made aware of at booking time made it impossible to sleep. The hotel needs to decide if they want to be a club or a hotel.

This is a typical European style two star hotel. Tofino is overpriced and it is reasonable priced compared to surrounding properties. It is clean and remodelled but corners were cut. There is no dead bolts on the door and not valuables safe. The room is "secured" by a cheap interior door lock only. There is no fridge in the room or coffee maker that would be standard in Canadian hotels in this price range. You had to walk down two flights to the liquor store to get ice. Be aware that there is no elevator. We also did not see any room cleaner for the three days we stayed. Rooms are small and sparsely furnished. It fits the bill for a place to sleep within in walking distance to all the downtown attractions.
