Not a bad location as probably a 10 min walk into the centre of Birmingham. Unfortunately when we stayed the air conditioning wasn't working throughout the hotel so it was a little warm in the rooms (although they did provide fans). The free breakfast was ok but the hot food could have been better cooked. Not a bad overall selection though. I'd use this hotel if you're looking for a relatively cheap overnight stay or work trip on a budget. Not one for a long stay in my opinion.

Arrived and check-in was easy, staff were friendly. As a lone female the hotel took my security seriously when my partner arrived after me, which I greatly appreciated. The room was clean and well appointed, we liked having a sofa too. Breakfast was adequate the next morning, although the hash browns were not very nice . We had a good stay and would stay again, it's in a very good location for all of the city centre attractions

Second time we have stayed here now and it has been excellent both times. Rooms are clean and well appointed with lovely bathrooms and Dove products. We love the individual aircon control and the high up rooms do not have traffic noise, we havent stayed lower than floor 12. Breakfast is decent with plenty of choice however there always seems to be items missing. On this occasion I had to ask for PG tea bags as they had run out and also the cooked tomatoes had run out too and only arrived when I had finished my breakfast. I didnt have time to wait as I had to go to work. We will certainly stay again.

It was a bit difficult to find the main entrance, however Our stay was amazing. Staff at hotel were very friendly. Hygiene level of hotel was on the spot and variety of options for breakfast was also very good. Bernet at the reception was very welcoming, friendly and had excellent customer service skills. He went above and beyond to meet our needs. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. It would be good to have a smoking shelter near the hotel as it was raining and was difficult to smoke outside. Would also be handy to have a smoking bin at the back entrance as there were plenty of cigarettes butts on the floor.

We had a brilliant stay at this hotel and couldn’t have asked for more. Every member of staff went above and beyond to make everyone’s stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and well organised. The gentleman who checked us in was a breath of fresh air. He explained everything clearly, answered all of our questions and made us feel genuinely welcome. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent, with a great choice available. We found a table, helped ourselves to cereal and pastries, and also enjoyed a freshly cooked breakfast. The hotel’s General Manager was also a delight to speak to. We witnessed him dealing with an unruly and demanding customer who was swearing and pointing at him. Despite the difficult situation, he remained calm, professional and courteous throughout, handling it with real expertise. He is a real credit to himself, his staff and Holiday Inn. It was refreshing to see such a high level of professionalism and customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Lovely place to stay very clean and very friendly staff. The only downside was there was no information on the TV. i’ve like what time the doors were open to as I returned back from watching WWE live also the signal was very poor whilst me and my friend were watching TV..
