The location and room size are probably the only real positives. The hotel is close to several of Liverpool’s main attractions, making it convenient for exploring the city centre on foot.
Unfortunately, the condition of the room was far below expectations. The spring mattress is old, extremely uncomfortable and appears to be broken, compromising the most basic purpose of a hotel: getting a good night's sleep.
The carpet is old, dirty and poorly maintained. The furniture is equally dated, worn and clearly needs repair or replacement. The entire room gives a strong impression of poor maintenance.
The bathroom is extremely small and cramped, with an even more serious issue: the floor has inadequate drainage/slope. After showering, the bathroom remains wet, creating excessive moisture and contributing to signs of mould.
The room is also very noisy. Surprisingly, the problem is not the nearby bars or nightlife, but mainly the heavy traffic outside.
Despite the excellent location and good room size, these advantages do not compensate for a deteriorated bed, dirty carpet, worn furniture and an inadequate bathroom. This hotel urgently needs a complete renovation.
