Only positive is the location...10 mins to Oxford centre. Room had a broken glass light shade...health and safety issue,loose and broken tiles in bathroom only 4 out of 12 blind slats in place in bathroom.Broken hook in bathroom to which was sharp and easily cut yourself on. Dirty carpet...dirty walls. There was a fridge though....if only it was turned on and didn't have water on the shelves inside it. Bed had a wobbly headboard which needed padding using a pillow so could sleep. Lights not working outside property. Very disappointed with property and all round service....Will not be going back

Room was very spacious. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast said until 9.15 (Saturdays)but staff were clearing the breakfast things away by 8.50 thought this was far to early. Nice selection of fruits and yogurts, cereals, but note no full breakfast only boiled eggs. Excellent value other wise.

Very average stay.

Mark the manager very friendly, and carried luggage upstairs. Room was clean but the decor is dated, threadbare and stained carpet, uneven floor. Sheets were clean, but the mattresses were very old with springs poking out, leaving us with back aches. Bedding old and worn, Tv didn’t work at all. On the positives, continental breakfast was very nice, fresh fruit and good choice of cereals. Obviously this place is in great need of refurbishing, front entrance and garden untidy and not appealing.

The property was clean and in a convenient location though the property was rather dated and could do with some new carpets and some TLC. The light in our bathroom was not working and seemingly hadn't been for some time as there was a torch in there. The fruit and cereals for breakfast were lovely - but the hot food available was limited. Our key was left under the doormat on arrival along with a welcome note.

Four day stay whilst visiting son at university. Location ok with bus service very close. Communication from hosts prior to our stay was really good. Self checkin (late around 8pm) was easy. Breakfasts were nice with lots of fresh fruit and eggs etc. Room was very dated and bed headboards very dirty. Curtains ripped, pillows could do with being replaced. Walls are very thin so could hear what was going on next door. Towels not replaced until asked and then no hand towels provided. TV didn't work but that didn't bother us too much. Room does have kettle, tea, coffee etc. A little noisy with street noise but not too much. Good enough for the budget traveller as Oxford quite expensive place to stay.

Brilliant one night stay to see a show at the New Theatre. Clean and comfortable room and bathroom with a really nice continental breakfast the next morning - the option of boiled eggs and toast was spot on. Brilliant location with plenty of weekend street parking on nearby roads and on a main bus route into city centre. We actually walked back in around 40 minutes later in the evening to stretch our legs - easy, walk. Friendly manager and lovely lady doing breakfast in the morning. Will use again next time we visit.

The hotel was really great. Mark was an amazing host and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. The only minor downside was that the toilet flush and shower pressure were a bit weak. The continental breakfast was delicious, and we really enjoyed it each morning. Quite easy to go to the city center as there is a bus stop nearby. We would definitely stay here again.
