I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Axel Barcelona. Staff were charming and very helpful. The room was fabulous. My only disappointment was that I left a plug in nightlight in the bathroom and the staff say they never found it - I offered to pay postage for it to be returned to me. It is impossible for it not to have been found.

We had a wonderful day at Axel hotel in Barcelona. The room was exceptionally nice with a small step out balcony and a clean minimalist rack for hanging clothes and unloading suitcases. We found the rooftop pool bar a great refuge after a hot day of touring the city. The staff was very friendly and the Hotel’s location in the city was super convenient to access either taxi or subway system.

Set nice place to stay. Great vibe, great breakfast, and wonderful location. To be honest the staff was fine but not as friendly as before when I stayed before.

6/10 Good

Good…Great location. Staff were very friendly. Pool is nice but cold. Bad…Place is full of cockroaches. In the breakfast buffet and in the room. Even a gigantic one in the lobby at 1:30am that the staff was trying to get rid of. Friends of ours down the hall also had roaches in their room. Place seems clean so not sure why they have a bug problem. Was a very expensive stay to share it with cockroaches. Our Room was interior with a view of nothing. Kinda dark. Was definitely not worth the money.

Excellent stay in a great location in Barcelona. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and close to many attractions, restaurants, and public transport. The staff were outstanding — always friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. I also really enjoyed the evening show, and there were many fun and friendly people at the party. Highly recommended!

I stayed for two nights, was very impressed with hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Joquin on reception, I asked him if he could point me in the direction for breakfast, he personally took me to the restaurant, and carried my suitcase for me when I checked out. As I only stayed for two nights I put the do not disturb sign on the door as the room was fine, the cleaning lady was so nice, she came and asked if I needed any fresh towels. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is fantastic other than the hot tub is not hot. The people are great and the location could not be better.

Staff was super accommodating, rooms were very nice. I also loved the view from the balcony. Location was ideal, right in the heart of everything.

Great location, nice rooftop. But- the most uncomfortable hotel bed I've ever slept on and aircon struggled to keep the room cool. Overall fine but wouldn't stay again. More of a 3 star hotel than the proclaimed 4.
