About Barceló Raval, Barcelona

Design hotel with roof terrace and pool near Boqueria Market

8 minutes to Las Ramblas

Barceló Raval is an 8-minute walk from Las Ramblas, downtown Barcelona's thriving main artery and the first stop for many visitors. There you'll find the Liceu Metro Station, where you can catch a ride up to Plaça de Catalunya, the city's central square, and beyond.

Beloved Barcelona market

If you want to visit a classic Barcelona market, its tables piled high with fruit and nuts, Boqueria Market is a 5-minute walk. You can then wander down to the Gothic Quarter, 15 minutes away, with its winding alleyways lined with tiny, family-owned shops and tapas bars.

Cocktails by the pool

The B-Lounge offers cocktails and tapas, but nothing beats the view from the top floor 360º Terrace, where you can sip drinks while enjoying panoramic city views. The rooftop pool and sun terrace have a decadent feel, and the fitness center and sauna are extra relaxation options.

Free WiFi, iPod® docks

The hotel's 186 rooms and suites are spacious and bright, with loft-like open plans, floor-to-ceiling windows, and all-white interiors with bright color accents. Hi-tech perks include iPod® docking stations, flat-screen TVs, free WiFi, and minibars.

Staff was great, hotel and room were nice and clean. Close to mostly everything, metro nearby.

Better choices
The hotel itself was nice, comfortable, Clean. The view from my room however was terrible, I overlooked an open area of sidewalk riddled with homeless people, graffiti and trash. The breakfast was good but nothing special. The floor I was on was terribly loud at night with drunk guests until the early morning hours! The pool is the size of a large bathtub and it’s in the middle of their bar area making it incredibly uncomfortable to take a swim. The front desk staff was very helpful. During my stay I passed several hotels I would rather stay at next time I’m in Barcelona.

A quirky hotel in a quirky neighborhood.
This hotel is located several blocks west of the famous Rambla. The decor is post-modern and really tacky. The staff is by and large helpful and friendly although the front desk people are a bit too insouciant. The upper rooms can have nice views. There is no separate bathroom; just a toilet with a sliding door and a translucent shower. If you are traveling with more than one person and would like a private place to change and dress this is not the place for you, Some reviews have noted that the neighborhood is a bit rough. However we found that if you approach the hotel from the Rambla by walking west to the Museum of Modern art and the south down the “Rambla de Raval” it is perfectly safe and quite nice. The cafes on the Rambla de Raval are hopping st night and have decent food for reasonable prices. Stay here for affordability but if you want luxury choose another hotel.

A+ 360 RoofTop View/Breakfast/GYM
Everything was great, starting with the upgrade to a deluxe suite I received while checking-in. The view from the 360 bar in the rooftop was amazing. The gym is always one of my main requirements and it was perfect for my stay. Breakfast was delicious & healthy. Location was a walking distance to the Rambla & everything you can imagine a tourist wants to see. Variety of nice people everywhere. Another reason I selected this place was the hotel theme they got going in the lobby. My room had a big window but for some reason, it was all fenced up from the outside so not cool pictures from there. I forgot to ask the reason why. I am coming back soon and I will definitely stay there again. Funny story, A middle-aged couple jumped into the elevator after leaving the jacuzzi, so it got really awkward right away since they were only wearing a towel and the elevator was pretty small and going very slow. Only thing I would recommend the management to improve the speed of the elevators because they take too long to go up and down and to close the door; many of us were waiting for the elevators for a good while. Mainly during the high hours.

A modern, reasonably-priced hive
A tad gaudy with the sort of creatively-cramped room that makes you feel a part of a near-future science fiction film, the hotel is reasonably-priced and does have a magnificent rooftop view.
