Hotel was well situated for getting around Southampton on foot. Room was a bit dated but adequate, the bed was comfy and we both slept well. The toilet was in a separate small room just inside the entrance to the room, it was showing its age, had no hand wash basin and the décor reminded me of our old outside toilet at our home back in the 1960,s.

The welcome that we received was excellent and efficient. A nice start to our stay. The hotel's location close to the Central Railway Station and the centre of Southampton was ideal for exploring. Our bedroom/bathroom was a little tired but the bed was comfortable and we were really not going to be spending long in our room!! The breakfast was delicious. We were warmly welcomed each morning and looked after very well. The range of options to eat were extensive.

No aircon and 27 degrees outside meant it was impossible to get comfortable. Staff were fine. Amenities were ok but the bar area is a bit tired. For the price, there are way better hotels in Southampton and I probably won't stay here again.
