Everything was wonderful, and the bed and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud. What a nice property. Good coffee and lots of prepared snacks ready to grab any time. The only odd thing is that check-in is after 4PM, and the desk closes at 5PM. If you can't be there during that hour, you can check-in online, and they arrange for you to get in after hours, which did work well.

This was one of my favorite places to stay! Its a beautiful location to stay with a rich history. The staff was fantastic answering all of my many questions and even sending information when the walkways would be slippery. Also, their scones in the morning were incredible. Lovely historic home with well appointed rooms. I enjoyed my stay at the Merchant. I loved the history of the property, its location, the extra comfort touches everywhere in both the common areas and the individual rooms. The small deck in the rear of the building offered a pleasant seating area outside, the property is well maintained inside and out. The women at the front desk are the best - kind and ready to do whatever you need to make your stay comfortable. Parking is a little tricky so leave the car at home if possible - everything is within walking distance because the location is perfect. Rooms are comfortable and the front desk provides a lot of treats you will enjoy!
