A lovely hotel in a beautiful historic building, full of character and charm. Our stay was very comfortable, and the location was excellent—within easy walking distance of the colleges and main attractions. The reception staff were all warm and friendly, especially Michelle, who made us feel truly at home. A wonderful place to stay in Cambridge. Highly recommended!

Welcoming staff, convenient location. It was a really good place to stay, and convenient for the town centre. I parked the car and left it at the hotel until it was time to leave, two days later. The food was excellent, from the bar meal the first evening to the excellent buffet breakfasts. I would certainly stay there again.

We loved our wonderful 3-night stay at this exceptional hotel! The location, the staff, the room were all spectacular! The complimentary Bentley excursion around Cambridge with Mike, the most knowledgeable driver ever, was the highlight of our UK trip. The breakfast was also spectacular, especially thanks to Daniela, our hostess! We also loved the complimentary bicycles offered by the hotel! Thank you to all the staff at the Gonville Hotel for making our stay so enjoyable!

From check in to check out the staff were helpful and friendly. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were upgraded and welcomed to our room with rose petals and champagne! Breakfast choice was great, we picked off the to order menu. Easy walk into Cambridge. Definitely will stay again.

On our arrival all staff very warm & welcoming. All the staff we met reception, bar staff all seemed very happy in their jobs. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and in our room there was a card from the hotel and swans made out of towels with red petals on our bed and also some macaroons and chocolates on a slate plate. A lovely touch and much appreciated. Our room was very clean with all amenities that you need. The hotel offered a complimentary vintage car tour around Cambridge city that was amazing and our chauffeur Michael was very knowledgeable and fun. I will be doing a separate review for that. Would definitely return to the Gonville Hotel.
