The hotel was lovely and set in a great location directly across the street from the Fitzwilliam museum. A short walk into the the center and very quiet. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. We would definitely recommend and will return there.

Have stayed in better branches of this chain. Something about it just felt underwhelming, decor naff Location is good though, just opposite the Fitzwilliam Museum

We were at the hotel for a wedding. Unfortunately our room wasn’t ready when we arrived but Josh on reception was very helpful and found us somewhere to get ready. Staff were really good and food was great. Josh was very friendly and helpful anytime we needed anything

Fabulous location. Welcoming staff and amazingly comfortable bed. The bath I could swim in… so lovely to have a big deep bubble bath at the end of the day before getting into bed. Breakfast options were plentiful and delicious. Exceptional service from Josh for the wedding party. For a young man, he has great charisma and charm. He will go far!

As always, the staff were courteous and helpful, the room was immaculate, great shower, comfortable bed. They don’t advertise well that they have a bar, but I thoroughly recommend it as well as the bistro.

Such a lovely hotel with lots of history, 8 minute walk to the town. Beautiful decor and extremely friendly and helpful staff from the reception staff to the bar staff. They upgraded our room for free due to a celebration booking and could not have been more lovely. Thank you!

Nice team, great location. Getting little dated but nice culture. Breakfast is a little pricey for not a lot.

6/10 Good

This was a disappointing visit. Myself and wife stay at the hotel every year. This year we took friends with us. Unfortunatly their shower was not well maintained and there was a rush of water from the joints rather from the shower head itself. We then went to the cellar for cocktails (something we have always enjoyed as it’s a great atmosphere), however, 3 of the cocktails on the menu, the bar did not have the ingredients for. It was not what we have experienced in previous years, hence the disappointment, especially when taking friends. I will say, the staff were and always have been amazing! Attentive and helpful, but given the last visit, I think we will look at changing hotels in the future. It’s a shame.

8/10 Very good

Great location on Road where main sights, lovely library room to relax in, outside space to sit and have a drink, very comfortable bed with good choice of tea and coffee. We parked on park and ride outside centre, should have used the parking at nearby hotel with onsite charging , would have been easier.
