Stunning old building, great welcome and a nice room. We had a fantastic evening meal and would highly recommend the evening food. The room was abit noisy, but not really a big problem. Breakfast was abit of a disappointment as we had said we were in a rush, but it still took 30 minutes, it was nice when it came although not the same standard as the excellent evening meal. Overall a great place and I would stay again.

A simply lovely little inn oozing with history and quirkiness in a quinticentially English village. The staff were very helpful and clearly proud of the history of the place they worked. The food was excellent too. I cannot recommend highly enough. Just be careful if you're of a slightly taller stature as some of the doorways are a bit low!

Fortunately the weather was kind, so moving between our room and the main building wasn't too challenging; however, anyone with mobility problems will need to be aware that local traffic can be concerning. The room was fine, though the bed only had one bedside table and the lighting was poor. Staff were excellent as were the breakfast options.

An interest and very enjoyable place to stay with excellent service and staff. Perhaps unfortunately we stayed on the hottest 2 days of the year and despite fans provided, without air-con the nights were uncomfortable. Obviously a relatively rare event but perhaps need to consider for the future.

Really nice cozy hotel in the old style. Only downside was the very hot temperature in the room. There was a fan but it didn’t really help and because the building is so old, the windows didn’t open. Take the opportunity to have dinner in the restaurant, it is not just the normal pub-food. It’s great
