Nice Hotel But Noisy
The level of service provided by staff at this hotel is excellent, as is the cuisine. Unfortunately there were several issues that made us realise this hotel was just not for us. Our bathroom was lovely but there was an issue with the toilet cistern and the sink took ages to empty - as though there was some sort of blockage in the plumbing system. Our room looked out onto the street and although the windows were shut, the noise from late night revellers returning home kept us awake until the early hours of the morning. There was no secondary glazing to reduce noise and there was a draft coming through the window frames even when the blinds were down. We retire fairly early in the evening and also found the noise level outside our room frustratingly loud. There doesn’t appear to be any soundproofing between floors levels either. We were disturbed by the people in the room above us moving around in their room, just as the people in the room below us must have been disturbed by us. You could even hear the people on the floor above the bar and lounge area moving around in their room. Breakfast is pricey but the food is excellent. We were unable to eat dinner in the restaurant. The hotel restaurant just has a tasting menu and is not for everyday dining which was quite frankly disappointing. We only ate in the bar on our first night. The food was lovely but as there are no proper tables to eat at it was awkward and uncomfortable. We chose to eat elsewhere after this.

Refreshments
The hotel is aesthetically pleasing. Cannot fault the welcome, and room. However as the hotel has a 5*rating we were very disappointed that we had no drink making facilities in the room. Admittedly there were the facilities downstairs or room service (additional cost) but not in the room. Usually for this price you would have a kettle and a coffee machine.

Very comfortable
Outstanding welcome at car door on arrival! And also inside at reception . Arrived late so valet parking was very welcoming but were in time for a bar meal ( until 10pm) Bags taken to a lovely room with great bathroom, with fast filling bath and shower over. Good choice of bar meals, e.g. a more substantial tasty burger, or more delicate meat and cheese platter. The stay continued to be very pleasant and all the staff we met were considerate and thoughtful

Excellent birthday break
Had a great couple of days staying at the Queensberry for a birthday getaway in Bath. The room was very quiet, loved the decor, spotlessly clean and was spacious. We booked The Olive Tree restaurant and sampled the 9 course tasting menu and flight of wine, which was amazing too. The centre of Bath was a short walk down the hill with pretty much everything we wanted to do on the doorstep. Highly recommend a stay at the hotel and take the restaurant option too.

Great place
Fantastic hotel, great location wonderful room and lovely bar and outside area. Can't fault it, in fact I tried to think of something negative, the shower head could have done with being de-scaled! Ha 😂
