"The room was great, very clean.
The beds were very comfortable.
Great location, very close to a metro station, 6-7 minutes walk from Plaza Espana, next to many restaurants.
The poll is small, not like in the picture, and you have to make a reservation in order to get in, the order is for only 45 minutes. "

I really liked Madrid. The Prado was a dream. I wish I had another week. Public transit was pretty simple. Many people seem to be taking the side trip to Segovia and Toledo and I kind of wished I had done that too. I'd visit again in a moment!

We were in Madrid for a month and loved it. We came back for one night to make the airport connection easier than trying to get here from Toledo. Even after a month there was still a lot of Madrid we didn't get to see. It is large and diverse.

Madrid was friendly, easy to get around, wonderful museums and parks. The food was great. For a large city the city center was not overwhelming and had lots to offer in food, shopping and attractions. The city was cleaner than I expected.

Don't visit in August. It's too hot. I know that's easier said than done especially if you're from the US and you have kids on summer vacation. Take the time to check out their supermarkets. Prices are affordable and people are friendly.

It feels like and looks like a capitol city. The cultural richness and diversity of the population made me feel I had my place and could belong. The tree lined streets, the architecture, the hills and cultural resources are world class!
"Absolutely fantastic. Visited Madrid during a heat wave and arrived with serious jet lag from Los Angeles. The Thompson provided a perfect room to recover - extremely comfortable bed, delicious room service meals, blackout curtains and total silence all night - oh, and perfect air conditioning. They secured me a 5:30am taxi and wake up call upon departure. The rooftop pool is magnificent. Will be staying here again and again."
"Staff were amazing and very friendly. The hotel was very nice, it was in a good area, close to many restaurants and bars. The breakfast buffet was good, with an excellent selection. Would stay here again next time in Madrid. "
