Nice stay
Nice clean hotel with some lovely character and setvices, the happy hour with wine and cheese is a nice touch at the hotel.

Canmore, good location for Banff Park!
Jesse from the front desk gave an all out effort to get our fireplace to work but to no avail. Nicest guy ever. Wonder why housekeeping did not ensure all items were in working order, since we had a reservation made months before. Not like it was a surprise we were coming. Maintenance guy came and got it working and was overtly disappointed to not receive a tip for making something work that should have been working when we arrived. Fire alarm rousted us early am one morning due to burning toast in breakfast room. We did not try the breakfast due to the large contingent of Japanese tour groups also staying in the hotel, very congested. Also, FYI, busy train tracks very nearby and noisy all night long. Clean place, all the amenities in place save a working fireplace at the flick of a switch as it should have been, decent bed, balcony room at front of hotel offered view of the three sisters mountain albeit not a comfy balcony and no way to shut off the balcony porch light.

Was ok. The queen bed seemed more like a full and wasn’t comfortable.

Quiet respite
Wonderful overnight stay in this beautiful, quiet hotel with the view of the mountains. Easy check im n and check out. Friendly and helpful staff. The family room was big and comfortably fit 5 adults. The price is reasonable compared to Banff hotels.

Carpeting should have been replaced along time ago. Had to get a repairman. He has to replace a lamp, fireplace was connected due to being summer. Wanted a copy of my bill. Was told Hotels.com would send me a bill. This hotel was worth the money I had to pay. Please send me a copy of bill. Thank you

Recommend it
Quite comfortable, nothing fancy - basically a skier hotel. Continental breakfast was fine, sandwich meat the only protein. Good location.

Nice area
Nice spacious kitchenette, but beds were hard, as were the pillows. Sofa bed was more comfortable than main bed. Wifi didn't work. Outside door was convenient and breakfast was basic , but good. Town was less congested than Banff, rented bikes and rode along the beautiful Bow River. Area was beautiful with lots of restaurants downtown.

Not worth the price
We were originally booked for five nights. Two days into our trip, we decided to cut our visit short. The front desk was gracious and helpful with that. Of the four nights we stayed, we had our room serviced by housekeeping one time. Our room was on the first floor. The hallway was basically the staging area for housekeeping. Each morning the hallway was lined on both sides with bags of linens, but we didn't receive fresh linens in our room. The young lady who maintained the breakfast room was not friendly or helpful. She would park her cart blocking the entranceway. Coffee was frequently empty. The breakfast is breads, cereal and cold cuts. The jellies and cream cheese were only restocked when guests asked for them. There was a bin labeled muffins, but was typically empty. The room rate was fairly expensive in summer. If we are in the area again, we would look for a different place to stay.
