I stayed for three nights and Le Meridien was an excellent base for exploring Chiang Rai by bike. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean, the grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, and the breakfast buffet was superb. The staff were friendly, attentive, and polite throughout, and early check-in was a real bonus - my room was ready well before the official time. It’s a little outside the centre, but taxis are easy and inexpensive (around 80 THB), and the peaceful setting more than makes up for it. I’d happily stay here again.

Unfortunately this hotel is showing its age and really could do with a major refurbishment. Having said that, the staff are great and the beds are comfortable. We booked a premium room but to be honest it did not feel that premium. For example instant coffee and powered milk is not quite what you would expect. The Italian restaurant was actually quite good, unlike the Thai restaurant which was average at best.

Appreciated the grounds of the resort. Friendly and welcoming check-in experience. They claim to be doing pest control, but was shocked and terrified to see a number of lizards outside the rooms after dusk. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Noticed cobwebs inside the room. Mosquitoes inside room, but they provided mat which you could turn on. Breakfast options reasonable, but was put off by the bugs and flies buzzing around the food. Expected a premium experience, but was disappointed.
