The staff at this hotel were excellent. But the room I first stayed in was just weird with the most unsettling wallpaper I've ever seen. It made me very stressed and nervous. The room was below street level, in a separate building from the main hotel which you had to walk along the street to get to. The phone was dead and the TV had no signal. I complained and the next day my room was changed to the one above, which was better and had no ghastly wallpaper but was enormous and still in the same building down the street. I felt like a poor relation. However, breakfast, which was served in the main building, was excellent and the restaurant staff very good as were the reception staff who did their best to help. The location of the hotel is very good with shops and some tourist attractions just a few minutes walk away.

Good one night stay. The area is lovely and the building is well maintained. Breakfast was reasonable, chosen from a menu, some of the ingredients felt quite basic, for example the pastrijes served were mini and the yoghurt was low quality and individual pot was served. The bedroom was clean enough but found previous occupants shoes in wardrobe, no apology when presenting these to reception staff. We were directed to a staircase to our bedroom which was on the top floor and a bit of a trek with suitcases, only later did we notice there is a lift. Room was small hut fine for one night and a good base for exploring Bath

We arrived a bit early but staff were helpful and checked if our room was ready which it was. So got in earlier which was a boost. We got parked in the small private car park which is £22 a night which is a bit hefty. Our stay was great and the staff were helpful. The only downside was the bathroom being on the small side. Would return again if in the area.
