This hotel had the nicest staff I have ever encountered. They greeted us with a cold drink upon arrival and always anticipated our needs. Breakfast was always good and the pool was so refreshing in the warm weather.

I loved my hotel room and the staff were amazing. Only thing i would say is some fabric softener for the towels 😊 other then that I was happy and worth the stay.

Wonderful boutique stay!

Great location, clean, comfortable, great value for money. Lovely pool overlooking the square in central Santa Marta which was great in the midday sun! Staff were excellent and the breakfast was plentiful! We were able to store bags pre and post stay with no problem due to our transfer timings. Would highly recommend and stay here again without a second thought!

Amazing stay in Santa Marta. Placita Viega hotel is located right in the center of town at the parque de los novios. It is a walkable distance away from all of the best restaurants, clubs, and bars. The area is always full of people and very safe. It is also a 5 minute walk from Santa Marta beach.

6/10 Good

We would have rated this place higher had they cooperated with our booking when we literally got stranded in the Park Tayrona area due to military activities and road closures that precluded us from checking in the first night. We were stranded due to road closures and it would have been impossible to check in. We knew this more than 24 hours in advance and gave notice ti the property but they still charged us the full amount for that night. Another hotel in our itinerary where we encountered the same problem while stranded, fully cooperated and refunded us 100%
