A large, old-fashioned resort. The staff was outstanding but the property itself was showing its age.

This was an amazing place to stay, a long drive into the park and seeing virtually nobody for miles you think you are in the middle of nowhere… thoroughly enjoyed it and was a great relaxing environment, with an amazing senset and sunrise.

Check in was very quick and easy, and the staff were very helpful. We stayed in a Cottage, and the room was very clean. It was nice to have an outside seating area. We would absolutely stay here again.

Great location for exploring the park, the saloon bar was as unexpectedly impressive and grand - great food and service excellent (we were served at the bar by Brent who was really attentive, friendly and helpful to customers). It can be quite a walk from some blocks to the bar, restaurant, reception area etc..

We loved our stay at the ranch! The location is fab, a short drive to badlands and a few other beautiful places. It literally is an oasis in the middle of the desert. The last kind word restaurant has great food and the ice cream bar was very quaint with a lot of choice.. Great quality for the price. We would definitely recommend.

We were welcomed to the hotel by friendly, helpful staff. Our room was lovely, it was spacious, clean and had all of the amenities you could wish for. The complex was well maintained. The pool area, general store and Saloon restaurant were great and provided everything we needed.

Everything was Credit Card, so be aware of that. and gas was cheaper at Stovepipe Wells than at the Resort, but it's a good drive, so if you're going that way keep that in mind, but don't go out of your way. Everything is an easy walk at the resort; to the shopping, restaurants, pool, and golf course. The most popular destinations in Death Valley are also short drives away; you can catch a few before lunch and another few before dark.

We stayed in a cottage which was very charming. The location was great for visiting the park sites. And the cottage are a great location and easy to walk for breakfast and dinner at the restaurants on location. One night we drove to the other resort near by (about 5 minutes away). The staff was great, I can not fault them on that. Everyone was very helpful and cheerful. This is our second stay at the Ranch and it continues to get better each time we stay there.

This is my favorite park by far. I've always camped when staying in the park and figured I'd give the cottages a try. I doubt I'll be camping again in Death Valley. They are VERY nice, roomy, convenient and will stay again. Plus the pool is incredible. Could use a little more shade but that's the only thing I can think of on the wish list.

8/10 Very good

Wonderful location, fantastic fresh pool. Good food, reasonably priced throughout. All the staff are very friendly. Only negatives were that our room was very noisy, doors slamming and upstairs banging along with some workers? On the block next door playing loud music until late and the iron had something burnt onto it that transferred to clothing. Overall it’s a lovely place however.
