Beautiful location right on the canal. Friendly staff, including an adorable old cat. Room was huge with a surprise patio we weren't expecting, and the AC worked great. Only issue we had was with the shower—it drained slow and would overflow if you ran the water at full pressure. Otherwise, it was a great spot, and we'd definitely stay again.

The property’s location is AMAZING! The staff are so nice and helpful. The property is run down though. Beds are very firm. Great for me! Not so much for my teenage son. They say they clean the room every three days, however, they did not clean ours, replenish TP or coffee/creamer/sugar the entire stay.

The location of this hotel is wonderful and the staff is very helpful. Unfortunately there not an elevator and the stairs are narrow and very steep. I could not have carried my suitcase up the 43 steps to my room nor down the steps either. The staff did so for me, but it is something that is a serious matter to consider when booking a stay at this hotel. I stayed before and had a ground level room that was fine, but after being up high I will never stay again. It was scary to even walk the steps without a bag. Cool hotel, just became a no for me.

Eclectic older hotel not without its charms. Great air conditioning in the entire 3 bedroom apartment- was a big plus. Central corridor smelled - cat and mold - but the apartment was fine actually. A bit run down but spacious and functional- WiFi worked well - and hard to find a large enough place for 5 with all the short term rental restrictions. Location good - easy walk to most things. Nice staff

Great location right next to the Nine Streets, making it easy to explore Amsterdam on foot. The room had air conditioning, which was much appreciated, and we generally really enjoyed our stay. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming, although one member of staff came across as a little stand-offish and wasn't as helpful as they could have been. One small downside was that our windows faced directly onto other guests' rooms, which felt a little awkward in terms of privacy. The stairs inside the building were very steep, but that's to be expected in these beautiful traditional Amsterdam houses and wasn't a surprise. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily recommend it for its excellent location and character.

We loved this boutique hotel. Our room was large, bed super comfortable and bright. We were no the lowest level, but our large windows showed a small courtyard. The location was perfect for visiting museums and Anne Frank. Also close to grocery store and restaurants. We would pick this hotel again.
