Very nice and friendly hotel. Even tho it’s not located in the Old City, the Metro (subway) station is practically on the door step. It takes 10min to get to Newmarket station, which is center of Old City by Damm square. Be ready for a really small bathroom.

Awesome but just a tiny little problem
Everything was amazing and perfect. Very friendly and kind staff. They even left me a birthday gift on my birthday! Public transportation is right across the street and you can reach the city center in 10 mins. Only problem is that the rooms are not noise proof at all and our neighbor in the room right next to us could hear all our conversations, so he knocked the door at 7am and told us he could hear every single word we said, so please don't speak as he was trying to sleep.

The hotel was super convenient to public transport. We were able to get anywhere we needed in Amsterdam within a few stops on the metro or a short walk to a tram station if we did not feel like walking to get where we were going. At check in, i felt like the reception we received was a little rude as we were a bit early, but all we wanted to do was store our bags for a few hours. That did not start things off on the right foot. The room was ok - a little less than what I anticipated from the pictures. Fine for one night. Unfortunately for me, the security light right outside the window shone in all night and the blinds didn’t close all the way, so that was slightly problematic. The hotel area has a cool, hip vibe which I appreciated. I loved the personal touch from the hotel manager reaching out before check in, asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. Overall, I think it was slightly overpriced for what I got and I may consider looking elsewhere closer to the city, but I would consider staying at this hotel again for a cheaper rate.
