Good location
Nice location. Busy area with some street noise. Bathroom is weird for Americans with only doors on the toilet and shower off the main room. Queen bed was comfortable but was a duvee which gets hot. Standard room on hotels dot com is lower end. No coffee in room. Nice grab and go cafe nearby called Spar.

Love Amsterdam! But avoid this hotel!
After surprising my girlfriend with a trip away for her birthday, I was extremely disappointed with this hotel for a number of different reasons. Firstly, on arrival, we noticed that the mini-bar had a half-empty can of coke in it. We rang down to reception to make them aware so we weren't charged and they said they would sort it. This wasn't a huge deal and we thought nothing of it. The next evening we returned to our room to get ready for a meal out and saw the room hadn't been cleaned nor had the can of coke been removed. I spoke to reception who apologised and said they would send someone up once we had left for our meal. We returned to the hotel at 11:30pm and the room still hadn't been cleaned! I complained to the night manager who said he would raise it with the staff in the morning. For the second time, I had to restock my own room with fresh towels using the trolley cart near the lift and washing my own cups something I wasn't expecting given the price of the hotel! The following day the same happened again, we were out for 8 hours and came back to the same dirty room! After complaining for the third time, I finally spoke to a manager who resolved the situation and had arranged for a drink, some nuts and flowers to be sent to the room but by that point it was too little too late!! The fact it took three days to finally get someone to clean our room, got us questioning how clean this hotel actually is and how much the staff actually talk to each other.

Attention to detail
The hotel and rooms were lovely , clean comfy , we thought that the bar should be manned at all times we had to keep going to ask for someone to come out to serve us , which I think doesn’t give a warm welcome . There were two empty cans of coke in our fridge obviously from the previous people that had not been taken out and replaced . On three occasions we had no milk in room to make a tea or coffee . I just feel these little things need to be addressed as it’s annoying having to keep asking for things all the times and simple things that should be done daily anyway . Staff were helpful when we did ask for these things

Room was ok, though our room was of a flat top roof (a room unsurprisingly not in the photos). The interior was nice, but didn't match the foyer area

Tasteful hotel, high standards, lovely stay
Overall the hotel was great, located in a nice part of town close to both Vondelpark and and Rijksmuseum, as well as some nice bars including the Hard Rock Cafe. The hotel itself was very well styled, the room was comfortable and had the amenities we wanted, including tea/coffee and a nice shower. We also enjoyed a drink at the charming hotel bar, complimentary on behalf of it being my birthday (as well as some cakes sent to the room!). The only small complaints we had during our stay, was that the towels although clean, were stained and damaged. And on two occasions the room unfortunately smelled of blocked drains upon returning to it. I would recommend Park Centraal Amsterdam, the staff were helpful and friendly, any request’s we had were met and all in all we enjoy enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic location, would stay here again.
Great stay, friendly staff, fantastic location, room was very clean. Only complaint was that we sat for over an hour (until after 4pm) waiting to check in to a room that had been clean that entire time (miscommunication between cleaning and check in staff).
