Very lovely welcome to a historic and plush, cosy stay at Jorvik House for a post Christmas getaway. Everything fantastic, only mimor gripes that Yorks parking might be a tad cheaper, perhaps there are cheaper ones than the conveniently located Marygate car park a stones throw away.

This accommodation was in the most perfect place for a visit to York. It was right across from the museum gardens, quiet, and a quick walk to the city center. Loved it!

Location amazing. Beautiful clean bright spacious rooms. The only issue we faced is we couldn’t get the water temperature in the shower to turn down from boiling hot.

Jorvik House was a great stay for our overnight trip in York and was centrally located but away from the crowds of the city. The room was well appointed and quiet, and we had the best night’s sleep of our entire 3-week UK trip in the very comfortable bed!
The only fault of our stay is the lack of clarity around the parking at the property - we weren’t aware of the parking situation before we arrived and the closest car park was £25 per night.
