Plan to return if the price is right.
Overall a very enjoyable two night stay in a very nice hotel in a very nice location location. Having a bigger room was well worth the extra cost. Hospitality worldwide is just not what it used to be, and my negatives are not specific to this hotel by any means! They are all restaurant based. 1/ Correctly list ingredients on your menu and do not simply omit items without mention in the hope customers do not notice. 2/ Rude surly waiting staff (breakfast) are simply not acceptable. 3/ I appreciate a round of drinks being missed off our evening meal bill, and think this made up for 1+2 above and saved me having to remove the service charge, but if staff cannot correctly total a bill then it could be wrong in either direction
Third floor is lovely.
What the hotel lacks in lifts is more than made up for in its stairway.

Great stay at this exquisite hotel,the staff are helpful and friendly. It’s perfect for the train station {parking is much cheaper In train station) and only a five minute walk into city centre.
