You have to try Pensao Amor at least once. The history of the place is unique. The stairs and entrance of the hotel have seen better days, but the rooms are fine. There is an intimate lighting throughout the hotel, which adds flavour to the touch of the erotic atmosphere. The staff is friendly. Breakfast options are found in the neighbourhood.

Interesting stay here in May. It has an excellent location with great access for the metro and bus. There are many restaurants nearby and grocery stores. Check in was as listed as we could drop our bags off but official check in couldn't happen until 5pm. The hotel is in a busy tourist area with loud customers and people in the dance bar on site; however, the hotel has very good sound proofing. The music does go on until 3 am. We were traveling with ++ luggage (after a cruise) so we found the room didn't have great storage (no closet or drawers) . Overall, we enjoyed the theme and decor of the place which was 1 of a kind. We would recommend this venue for couples looking for an interesting spot to stay for a few nights ( we were here for 6 nights).

The rooms were a real experience but do not underestimate the noise from the disco. After paying significantly for the breakfast it was a joke. Out of 12 breakfasts we ordered, 4 didn’t get delivered and, 4 were incorrectly supplied. The idea was good but the execution awful. They haven’t even paid a refund.

The noise was well dampened by the windows but being right in the middle of the action is going to invite more noise than a mountain lodge. The decor is over the top just like you want. The bar downstairs had good action and decently priced drinks. The restaurant choice is excellent, the market is great for lunch and sangria. Bus & trains station are a short walk.
