Hidden Gem in Barro Alto
Family with a toddler. Room was quiet and location was great. We were able to put he baby in the living area with the provided crib. Main tourist attractions are down hill, great restaurants and shops are up hill. Walk down in the morning and taxi back in the evening. Staff were extremely helpful and provided great recommendations for tourist attractions, shopping, and dining. Included breakfast is exceptional.

how did this hole got 4 stars??????
Must have been rated by 3 blind mice. There was nothing right with website description of this hotel. We had to leave without staying there. My rating 2 stars or less. The manager or owner was drunk or whatever. Internet didn't work. Would not recommend this hotel.

Good for me
It was close to everything. It was in the middle of this hill that was rather challenging. But it was up the block from a great little jazz club named the Black Box.

Excellent, dedicated service.
Enough cannot be said about Hotel Principe Real. Every effort was made to ensure that we had an excellent stay here. The staff are honest, above all, and friendly, but not in that "We have to be" type of way, in a very genuine "this is how it is, let me help you" kind of way. The location is great, off the beaten path but still walkable to a lot of Lisbon. The soundproof windows are another great bonus, making for an excellent night's sleep and a wonderful view of the city below. While the hotel is a bit older it just adds to its charm. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who asks!
