The hotel has an excellent restaurant with a decent menu. The bar is okay, but the intimate snug is lovely as is the wine tasting room.

Excellent room and superb dining. Not cheap but a real treat.
James, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great stay - in particular, the barman (Zack) was excellent and a good ambassador for the hotel and the brand. All staff we friendly and the hotel was convenient to the old town. The breakfast at £24 pp was a little expense and hence we had breakfast outside of the hotel, aside from this, it was an excellent stay
Benjamin, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Average Hotel

Hotel is in a fantastic location, however it is a little tired, the car park is not very large and hard to get in and out of, overall it is just an average hotel with a large nightly fee.
Ian, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great venue for a friends wedding reception. Very nice outdoor seating area which is a real sun trap. Will definitely stay there again if we are in the area. James was great with the wine tasting.
Richard, 2-night trip

Relaxed comfort and style

Comfortable stay. No stress as very relaxed. Room superb with little extras. Food tasty and a good selection of wine, staff knowledgeable about the food and beverages available, as well as the local area.
Jan, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Poor reception staff who didn’t want to talk to a female, but kept talking to my husband. When we needed support with the air con nobody answered the phone!
Debbie, 1-night trip

A real find

Recently renovated historic property in stunning Windsor Park setting. Superb staff who are extremely warm and helpful - going far beyond the hospitality of good hotels. Rooms were very comfortable although it could be a bit warm (given unusually warm weather and a lack of ac, something typical in the area). The biggest disadvantage is the steep stairs to access the rooms, although the staff readily assist guests with luggage. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and the atmosphere of the outdoor patio enchanting.

Charming hote

Very friendly and helpful staff, couldn't do enough for us. Beautiful room. Would have liked more vegetables dishes on the menu plus a choice of breakfast prices. I'm not a big eater and would just have had some yoghurt and a couple of croissants, which I felt was not worth £24. Evening meal was delicious and puddings lovely.
DEBORAH, 3-night trip

Lovely hotel and super dog friendly. Would definitely come again
Louisa, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Overall very nice.

Staff very friendly and service great at breakfast. Room was clean and tidy and bed was comfy the TV worked and there was an option to cast to the TV. Didn't do this but there was an option. Room was a bit of a let down for a 6ft3 person the ceiling was too low and I hit by head on the smoke alarm, the shower was too low too. Windows were difficult to open as they hit the table and ceiling.

Great stay at HDV Poole

We had a great time at the hotel and enjoyed an excellent night using the bar on Friday with a happy hour offer and £30 to spend behind the bar if we did not need our room serviced. We accepted this offer and enjoy a great evening in the lounge with our dog Mia. The only downside is that parking is extremely limited to only 12 cars.
