The hotel was clean, the beds were comfy, and the location is excellent. The staff were friendly and accommodating and we loved the overall decor and vibe of the hotel. We’ll definitely go back again.

The rooms are smaller than expected and there is no elevator. Nice property just very tiny bathrooms.

Location is great and staff is very friendly and helpful. The lack of an elevator was a surprise
Joey, 4-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great location. Little Italy & Chinatown are both only a couple blocks walk providing lots of great food options and SOHO shopping is also close.
Manolete, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Room was exactly as advertised. Staff was extremely helpful for our family’s first time visit to NY. Location was great. Easy to get in and out. Tons of food and shopping options within walking distance. Only thing not accurate on Hotels.com was parking. You have to park a few blocks away but they give you a discount if the hotel stamps your ticket. We paid $115 for two nights.
John, 2-night trip

Unique boutique hotel with a great location.
Jillian, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Clean room, fun vibe in lobby, friendly staff. Unfortunately our TV didn’t connect to wifi/not able to sign into Netflix, etc… not a huge deal, but we wanted to relax and watch Christmas movies. Overall great stay

Pros: nice & attentive staff, cool building, close to subway Cons: very dark and no lamps, AC wasn’t working properly so very warm from the radiator, street noise

Brendan, 3-night trip

The radiator in the room couldn’t be turned down, which resulted in the room being hot like a sauna. I had to have the window open, which made the room very noisy.
Jonas, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Check-in was at four. Usually we stay at the Moxy and check-in is at 11 and checkout is at 11 here. Check-in was at four and check out was at 11 not even a full 24 hours for a one-day booking.. if you want to check in early or check out late, it was an extra fee. The hot water steam heat in the room had no thermostat and was loud all night you heard people coming in and out of the hotel all night, long and all morning long there was no soundproofing at all.. Not my favorite hotel the moxy across the street is much nicer ..

Aidan, 3-night trip

Great hotel. We had two queen beds for a girls trip. Only complaint was noise from neighbors that weren’t being the most considerate.

great staff, clean rooms and excellent location.
suzanne, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The hotel photos are deceiving and the amenities described need updating. The attached bar and restaurant is closed. They have vending machines and do not even leave you a bottle of water in your room. There are no amenities and you pay a resort fee which seemed unfair. The staff wasn't overly warm except the housekeeping staff which were warm and efficient. The room was small but the esthetics were trendy and stylish. There is no clock, no dressers and the makeshift seating area unseats me. The shower is room 341 was not pitched or designed correctly so no matter what we did, our bathroom floor was flooded so we piled up towels best we could to prevent a ceiling leaking below. They offer coffee downstairs in the am but the creams were empty both days. FYI the hotel has no elevator as it was built before the disabilities act so note you have a few flights of stairs. The bed was comfy and we had a cute window. The location was right near little Italy and China town. I probably wouldn't stay again and think the resort fee and amenities for the price were not comparable to other places. I would have checked out after one night and gone elsewhere if I could have gotten money back! Close to subway. Also our tv screen had this annoying menu that no matter what buttons we tried and how many times we shut on and off never went away so we couldn't watch tv!
Anne, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Läget var bra, lugnt och tyst område, nära 2 olika tunnelbanelinjer, men gick även att gå till många ställen.
Ann-Sofie, 5-night trip

8/10 Very good

Smaller room than expected. Fine place to stay if you don’t plan to be in much. Smelled nice at least. No elevator stinks.
James, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. When we arrived at The Sohotel, the room looked nothing like the photos online. There was visible mold growing on the sink, dust and debris falling from the ceiling fan onto the beds, and the bathroom was old, dirty, and completely misrepresented. It felt so unhygienic that we actually left the hotel to wash our hair elsewhere because it didn’t feel safe to use the facilities. To make things worse, no one was ever at the front desk, even after multiple calls from Hotels.com on our behalf. Later, I was told the hotel claimed I “should have requested a more modern bathroom” — which is absolutely ridiculous. When you book a room based on advertised photos, you expect it to reflect that, not to have to ask for one that’s mold-free. The “premium bedding,” “Tempur-Pedic mattress,” “designer toiletries,” and “rainfall showerhead” advertised were completely false. There were no toiletries, no toothbrush or toothpaste, and no premium bedding. This hotel is misleading, unhygienic, and unsafe. Mold is toxic to breathe in and unacceptable in any guest room. I would never stay here again and strongly urge others to look elsewhere.
MARTINA, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great location and decent price. I booked a queen and they put me in a room with a double. When I went down stairs to ask, they acted confused and tried to gaslight me. Eventually ended up in a king. Every other staff person was lovely and it’s a super charming hotel. You should know there are no elevators.
Jeanne, 2-night trip

It was 750 a night for our hotel and there was cockroaches in the bathroom.
