    Yotel Hotel Review

There wasn’t much of a view from the 16th floor. From my window there was a lot of debris and construction going on. I tried contacting housekeeping but no one ever answered the phones. The trash bins already had empty bottles in them when I arrived. The sink had someone’s hair strands in it. The hotel room and hotel itself felt more like a college dormitory. The hotel shower is very small. The location is okay for biking and taking the bus.

    Add a lil spice “rack”…

The check in process could have been easy, but there were no key cards available for the automated check in and the LONE desk person had a line of guests 20 deep. Luckily we arrived after check in since the Yobot (which stores luggage) was down as well. It was an off putting start but set the scene for the whole experience… there were several interesting moments that occurred including a woman in yoga pants and fuzzy slippers topless massaging her breasts and trying to make eye contact with any person attempting to use the elevator to get to their room from the fourth floor lobby- she was standing in front of the button and the constant smell of weed in this non smoking hotel. It served its purpose and I did not feel unsafe but it also felt like the lunatics were running the asylum outside of our rather quiet hallway. If your looking to add a little spice to your trip it’s worth the money

    Bed bugs and dirty environment

The room had bed bugs, none of the channels worked it was all fuzzy , the sink had a leak and sprayed water from the side, the shower knob was hanging off the wall. The latch on the door was broken I felt unsafe and dirty just breathing in the room: when we initially complained about the bed bugs they moved to a room next door which was in worse conditions than the first one. If you want a zombie motel vibe this is the place to stay

    Put more staff to work

The hotel was running on a skeleton crew. If Yotel wants to run a NY hotel, spend some more money and put on more staff. The people there are working themselves to death to provide good service to guests. Upper management is not supporting them. The elevator sensor pads were falling out of the wall. There was no, zero, housekeeping available.

    Not happy

There is like no ventilation in this hotel it is hot all the time and in the room everything is on a motion sensor so the air conditioners have turned off all night and when it is on the air barely moves around the room I booked the room because it was an 8.0 without reading reviews I will never stay here again there's not even a chair in the room to sit on
