"Accommodations & Cleanliness:
The room was spacious, very clean, and well-kept. The staff ensures the whole resort is immaculate. A couple of minor issues: some outlets in the room didn't work, and the tiled floor was extremely slippery when wet (a risk after pool time, so be careful).
Service & Tipping:
The staff was universally friendly, attentive, and helpful. However, guests must be prepared for the strong tipping culture here. We felt compelled to tip for every small service and easily exceeded our budget. Budget accordingly!
Dining & Access Frustrations:
Food quality was inconsistent. The main buffet was amazing and highly recommended, but unfortunately, it's not open for every meal. The a la carte dining at the Breathless property was quite poor. Furthermore, we were blocked from neighboring resorts (Dreams) for our entire trip due to a private event, despite being told we would have access. Security was firm, which was disappointing as this was a key part of our booking choice.
Beach Experience:
The beach is beautiful, but the local vendors are relentless. Be very firm from the start; after a day or two of firm refusals, they will leave you alone.
Overall:
We felt safe and well-cared for. It was an amazing stay, but be prepared for high tipping costs, inconsistent a la carte food, and potential limits on cross-resort access."
