Golden Age glamour on the Amstel

InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam channels Old World charm with an imposing lobby of grand staircases, marble columns, and gilded chandeliers. Dining takes its cues from the riverbank, from Mediterranean comfort classics paired with an exceptionally deep wine list to a bar known for its whisky collection and spirit-forward cocktails. Between outings, a heated indoor pool and a thermal circuit with sauna, steam room, cold plunge, and horizontal shower keep the pace elegantly balanced.

  • Private saloon-boat canal tours

Cruise Amsterdam in restored 1920s skiffs with a skipper and champagne or breakfast.

  • Royal Afternoon Tea rituals

Settle into a four-course service with sweets and savories by the in-house patissier.

  • Water aerobics with river views

Join organized classes in the heated indoor pool, aligned with the Amstel.

Incredible, helpful concierge, Peter. Beautiful property. Classic. Wonderful pool and hot tub. Helpful staff. Only tiny complaint is absence of USB ports in the rooms, and no financial channels like CNBC or Bloomberg. Overall, a very pleasant stay for us. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Classic hotel experience with top service. From start till finish the experience was fantastic. This is a hotel that breaths ambiance and historic details. Service is very good and friendly. The hotel itself with it's classic and historic look brings a feeling of true luxury. It's not modern and some things are due for a replacement but the rooms, beds and service was fantastic.
